"Island War"

From the first Marine offensive at Guadalcanal on August 1, 1942 to the end of organized Japanese resistance on Okinawa on June 22, 1945, the United States Marines fought an unending battle. These young men from all over our nation focused on a common purpose, to defeat the Armed Forces of Imperial Japan. This elite force fought its way across the Pacific. In "Island War" we see two Marines pressing the attack. In their wake lies a Japanese Imperial Marine Helmet. Across destroyed palm trees they move towards the enemy positions.
